GridNets 2010

• Decided to submit a design paper - deadline 5/30/2010.
• LBNL prepares the first outline draft.

Testbed discussion

• Targeted for 6/1/2010 between Univ. of Michigan and BNL
• Testbed requirement for bestman: Java 1.6 or later and GridFTP server setup - Dimitrios will do these.
• Test scenario:
• srm command (srm-copy) talks to bestman.
• bestman communicates each other and with TeraPaths through the defined web service interface.
• we do not anticipated handling on the interface results.
• data transfers from source to target.
• clients get notified for the transfers.
• account setup: Junmin will process the BNL guest number. In the meantime, Alex will access the testbed.
• 6/1 target is reasonable.

Technical discussions

• Xin has been working on longer term components such as DB design, etc.
• Dimitrios has been working on the shorter term issues.
• Viji has been working on the bestman DB backend, and will be done by the end of May.
