SRM phone conf call Oct. 12, 2005 Attendee: Rich (Univa), Brian, Chip (Jlab), Owen, Jens, Eeji (RAL), Arie, Alex (LBNL), Richardo, Peter (CERN), Timur (FNAL) Next F2F meeting: April in CERN 19-21 (wed-Fri) tentatively Richardo, Peter: explains https://uimon.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/SRMDev/XmlSolution Alex: this is the exact format that we have in v2.1.1 with optionals. please check this ppt and prototype of the exmaple. http://sdm.lbl.gov/srm-wg/meeting0509/SRM.v3.0.impl.status.lbnl.0509.ppt. This is what we had in v2.1.1 with extentions of compatibility issues with interop case. Stand-alone prototype example is on the ppt as a link. Thought it would be more dynamic way of having XML schema for optionals. Chip, Arie, Peter: discusses about "extention"s for features. Alex: Regarding the discussion of having a static, fixed WSDL for SRM v3.0, the Op spec to have WSDL is already on the web; http://sdm.lbl.gov/srm-dist/examples/. We can add extention if this is the way our collaboration goes to. Arie: issue of terminology on lifetime: lifetime of SURL and TURL. We want to give two different names on TURL lifetime and SURL lifetime; "pin lifetime" for lifetime on TURL and "file lifetime" for lifetime on SURL. Chip, Owen, Arie: discusses on terminology.
