- Jean-Philippe Baud agrees that SRM design can be supported on top of Castor, and already supports some of the functions
- Jlab (Ian, Bryant, Andy) started an SRM implementation based on SRM v1.0 spec on top of JASMine
- Fermilab (Rich) started an SRM implementation based on SRM v1.0 spec on top of Enstore
- LBNL Deployed HRM which interface to HPSS at BNL, ORNL, and NERSC (PDSF)
- Joint design and specification of SRM v2.0
- Arie summarized design conclusion from meetings (this talk)
- SRM v2.0 spec draft version exists
- Consistent with OGSA service concept
- Define interface & behavior
- Select protocol binding (WSDL/SOAP)
- Permit multiple implementations
